Off White on Black Friday
Well today is Black Friday and the only shopping I plan on doing is from the convenience of my own home in between getting some work done as well. For ten years I worked in Retail Management as mentioned in my About Me section and always had to be up super early to open my store and get ready for the mobs of people with my team. It really took away from the fellowship on Thanksgiving Day because my mind would be going a mile a minute about all of the chaos I would encounter the next day and sometimes in a matter of hours from eating my Thanksgiving meal.
After exiting the retail sector, I found myself really being able to enjoy the holidays; living in the moment and not having to rush out to snatch up a few hours of sleep before heading into work. It feels great and really puts things into perspective. How could I have dealt with that for so many years? Well, I loved the industry. Still do! As I grew older, other things just became a bit more important.
I mentioned before how much I loved the idea of monochromatic outfits and on my Instagram I also mentioned how I plan to wear white (any version) throughout the Fall/Winter months. Who really still follows that Labor Day/Memorial Day rule anymore? Maybe the generation who taught it to us, huh? Mom, I’m talking to you. Let it go, sis. *kidding* In this look I definitely mixed my highs and lows and pieced together an outfit fit for the holidays. Although this was not my Thanksgiving living room couch outfit, I am sure I will be wearing this to a holiday party soon to come.
Also, these shoes! I will need an entirely separate blog post to discuss these loafers. They are that good!
